Se inició el Billabong Pro Junior San Bartolo en Peru

Con la disputa de las ocho series de la primera ronda masculina, hoy se dio inicio al Billabong Pro Jr San Bartolo 2016, que marca el inicio de las clasificatorias sudamericanas para el Mundial Pro Junior de la World Surf League, máximo ente que rige el deporte del surf profesionalmente.
El balneario de San Bartolo recibe hasta el sábado 7 a los mejores tablistas sub18 del continente, provenientes de Brasil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador y por supuesto de Perú.
Durante la primera jornada las olas estuvieron en promedio de 1 metro, pero muy constantes y de buen nivel.
La mejor actuación de este primer día de competencia fue de Herbert Moreno de Brasil en la última llave, donde tuvo un acumulado de 16 puntos. En cuanto a los peruanos, José Antonio Espejo, Jhonny Guerrero y Andrés Echecopar lograron su clasificación y ya están en segunda ronda junto a Alonso Correa, pre sembrado en dicha instancia.
La segunda jornada del Billabong Pro Jr San Bartolo se disputa mañana desde temprano con las primeras llaves de la rama femenina, para pasar a continuación con la ronda dos de los varones. La gran final se disputará el sábado, en playa norte del balneario sureño.
El Billabong Pro Jr San Bartolo es organizado por Entertainment Producciones, que reafirma una vez más su compromiso y apoyo al deporte desde hace más de diez años, incentivando y respaldando la formación de nuevos y futuros talentos que representarán al Perú de la mejor forma a nivel internacional.
