Sally Fitzgibbons, Alan Cleland make history their own in HB - 805 Post Show Finals Day

The masses in attendance at Huntington Beach witnessed surfing history unfold with Sally Fitzgibbons and Alan Cleland etching their names in the winner's list. An absolute resurgence from Fitzgibbons pushed her back atop the US Open of Surfing podium for the first time since 2011 after taking down SoCal's own Bella Kenworthy. Then, Cleland took home their first Challenger Series victory and a piece of Surf City USA legacy becoming the first Mexican to claim the event title. A crazy week witnessed major rankings shuffles, the first 2025 CT qualifier Ian Gouveia, and a major push from emerging talents and fresh faces. The chase for CT qualification now leaves Surf City USA for the 'Old Country' of Portugal at the EDP Ericeira Pro beginning September 29 through October 6.
