Women got their 2023 Corona Open J-Bay bouts underway for a short day of competition filled with shocks and impressive debuts. 2022 CT qualification threat and event wildcard Sarah Baum held firm for a Quarterfinal appearance against current World No. 1, 5x World Champ, Carissa Moore and CT veteran Lakey Peterson. Plus, Gabriela Bryan dug deep to take down Top 5 contenders Molly Picklum and Caitlin Simmers in convincing form for her place back into the Quarterfinals at J-Bay.
