So when local Pipe specialist Liam McNamara blocked him from paddling into a wave that likely would have allowed him to advance through their Round 3 heat, the square-jawed Californian snapped. The punch to McNamara and the resulting chaos back on the beach resulted in a no-call from the judges, despite McNamara's threats to sue both Booth and the ASP for assault. Proof, once again, that what happens at Pipeline, stays at Pipeline.
