Darren and Mick look back on the board that he rode when he first won at Bells. That board was the board that set off a series of consistency in his career - Mick had a new coach and a new trainer. Darren tells us that board was the start of computerized machining. Mick shows us the dents on his board and talks about how dents on the tail make a board lose a little bit of life. Mick faced Kelly in the final at this event. Mick talks about how Kelly knows how to get into peoples heads and ultimately Mick had to ignore Kelly to get under his skin right back.
