Leo Fioravanti refused to bow down to his mentor in Round Two. In their low-scoring heat, the wildcard took a page out of Kelly's playbook, and turned a very average wave into a decent score. Leo's 6.33 was enough to take the lead, and put the pressure on Slater. The Italian solidified his win with an even better 6.93 in the dying minutes.
Leo's massive upset was not a fluke. He also took down the King earlier this season as a wildcard at the Margaret River Pro.
