Reigning and 3X ASP World Champion Mick Fanning of the Gold Coast, QLD, Australia (pictured) redeemed his first round hiccup with a convincing victory in Round 2 at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast today. At Snapper Rocks Fanning eliminated trials winner Matt Baning (AUS) with a heat total of 13.67 points (out of a possible 20.00) to advance into Round 3 of competition.
