THE WAVE: Power, boils and bumps. Isla Todos Santos is home to the notorious Killers pointbreak. Protected by a large horseshoe bay, Killers pulls in swells from the Northwest as they approach the Baja peninsula. The point protects the incoming swells from onshore winds, which allows it to build in height without losing any of its power. It's known to rise to heights of more than 60 feet.
"Being farther away from the winds that create the swells allows Killers to handle the biggest waves the West Coast of North America has to offer," said Big Wave Tour (BWT) Vice President Gary Linden. "With a deep water channel to anchor in and great visibility from the island, Todos Santos is without a doubt a big-wave photographer's paradise."

NOTABLE: The Todos Santos Challenge hasn't run since 2010. That event was won by Mark Healey (HAW). Drawing off the energy of the Pacific Northwest, Todos Santos needs the right swell from the Gulf of Alaska to make Baja pump.
