PRAIA DE SANTA BARBARA, Sao Miguel - Azores Islands - Azore's little paradise of Sao Miguel prepares to host some of the sport's best athletes, including a prestigious 14 surfers from the Samsung Galaxy ASP World Championship Tour.
Starting Tuesday, the fourth stop on the European Qualifying Series will offer an opportunity to rack up crucial QS points towards the coveted qualification spots for the WCT. With so much on the line, athletes look forward to the Atlantic archipelago delivering classic conditions in Santa Barbara.
Previous editions of the SATA Airlines Azores Pro have produced world class action and their fair share of drama in the lineup. The 2014 edition will be no different with the QS race tighter than ever and a collection of fresh new faces in the mix, including Charly Martin (GLP) 24, who will lead the European contingent.
