The Hope Zones Foundation is focused on ocean conservation and creating impactful marine reserves and parks that connect land to sea. With a grant from WSL PURE, the foundation and its coalition partners-Sea Forester, Patagonia, Colab+Atlantic, Nazaré Municipality, Bro Cinema, and Instituto Monitoramento Mirim Costeiro-are spearheading groundbreaking seaweed reforestation projects in Nazaré, Portugal. Together, they are planting, monitoring, and researching seaweed while raising awareness of its critical role in restoring marine ecosystems and supporting coastal communities.
