Day 3 of competition saw the waves begin to swell due to the southwest wind that had been blowing lightly since the day prior. The pitch was between 1m and 1.5m, which was enough for the an action-packed day of surfing. The men's round of 64 started with heat 7. After 12 o'clock, the southwest wind started to blow in earnest, and the waves were noticeable. The success or failure of this wave is determined by how well you can assess the wave and take action. The highest heat totals on the third day of the tournament belonged to Yuma Nagasawa for the men and Amuro Tsuzuki for the women. Nagasawa showed an attacking performance with 4 or 5 shots in the front direction. Towards the end of the heat Nagasawa neededat least a 5.2 to advance and he got a wave that extended towards the right field. The vertical approach to critical areas with no rims was evaluated with a score of 7.00, marking a total of 12.20 (out of a possible 20).

On the other hand, on the women's side , Tsuzuki achieved a high score with 5.75 points and 7.00 points for a total of 12.75 with a selection of waves with potential and a stylish turn.
