Born in Hawaii to Brazilian parents, Luana's surfing days started early and strong. Luana's name means "happiness"and fits the young regularfoot's personality perfectly.
The 3x NSSA champion found success on the ‘QS her first years on tour, earning a spot as one of the newest faces on the ‘CT. Luana has grown close with her fellow Brazilian teammates on tour, especially fellow Hawaiian-born Tatiana Weston-Webb, and with Florianopolis kingmaker and coach Leandro Dora in her corner, this is a huge opportunity for Luana competing in her first Olympics.
