As part of our #WeAreOneOcean initiative, WSL celebrated the Indigenous people who have long stewarded our beloved surf zones by bringing together a coalition of partners at the #RipCurlWSLFinals. On the beach at Lower Trestles, Dr. Rodriguez of Kumeyaay Community College gave a tule boat demonstration with support from Acjachemen Tribal members, the San Onofre Parks Foundation, California State Parks, Shiseido, and WSL PURE grantee Native Like Water, who is creating an Indigenous Narrative Ocean Stewardship Program.
