For surfers like Soli Bailey life on the road is pretty much the only thing they've known for much of their life. Chasing swells and contest points around the world is the norm, while being home for any longer than a week or two is a rarity. But when the pandemic hit in 2020 event the most dedicated road warriors found themselves stuck in one spot for a lot longer than they're used to.
For Bailey, this time off afforded him the ability to reconnect with his local scene in Australia and score some epic days not too far from his front door.
Documenting some of these sessions, O'Neill just dropped an edit featuring the best of the best from around Bailey's neighborhood -- and it does not disappoint.
"I want these edits to showcase how much of an all-around surfer Soli Bailey is and why he is one of Australia's best," explains filmmaker Mikey Mallalieu. "From big airs to his powerful rail game and a knack for reading tubes of consequence, these edits will be high in action with minimal fluff. The goal is to get you psyched to go surfing and hit the road in your own backyard wherever that may be."
