COOLANGATTA, QLD / AUS (Tuesday, March 30, 2021) - The World Surf League has today announced that it will be partnering with outdoor company Dometic for the Australian leg of the 2021 WSL Championship Tour.
WSL and Dometic align perfectly with each brand having a huge focus on action, freedom, and adventure. Surfers are renowned for setting out in search of perfect waves in the furthest reaches of the wilderness and Dometic's mission is to make mobile living easy and to enhance exploration. The deal will see Dometic branded across all four events of the upcoming Australian leg of the Championship Tour along with broadcast integration ‘Out the Back with Dometic' and branded content featuring CT competitor and Australian Olympic Team member Owen Wright.
"We're excited to be teaming up with the World Surf League for the Australian leg of the tour, as the official Outdoor partner," said Dometic Managing Director ANZ Trent Rowe. "Being part of the outdoor experience is in our fabric, that's why we develop products that allow people to be present and in the moment. We've been part of that experience for many years, so now it's a great opportunity to give back and support the industry."
"As surfers, getting away to find new or uncrowded waves with friends and family is a natural part of the surfing lifestyle," said WSL APAC Commercial Director Scott Hargreaves. "Products that improve the experience of adventure is something typical surfers are constantly looking for and we have found that with Dometic's products. WSL couldn't be more stoked to be partnering with a company that shares our passion for the outdoors and we look forward to telling the Dometic story across the upcoming Australian CT leg in New South Wales and Western Australia."
