Espinho: Day 5 Social Recap
WSL
The Junior wrapped last night and now it's time for the Longboard Pro Espinho to get its share of the long rights off the Praia da Baia's jetty.
The opening day completed the first rounds of the men and Quarterfinals of the women's divisions as well as the men's first two Quarters to set up the Finals for Sunday in Espinho.
Tony Silvagni and Edouard Delpero were the standouts of the opening rounds and will meet up in the Semis on Sunday when the event resumes which promises fireworks in the lineup.
In the women's draw, Alice Lemoigne was fortunate enough to have a solo Quarterfinal, so she made the Semis without even entering the water. Guess that's what five European longboard titles can do for you.
Zoe Grospiron and Francesca Rubegni were the two strongest surfers in the women's Quarters and they'll face off in the Semis as well.
With eight heats remaining to crown the 2020 Longboard Pro Espinho and European Title winners tomorrow, the first call will be made at 11:30pm BST / 6:30am ET / 3:30am PT Call at Praia da Baia.
Longboard Pro Espinho
Longboarding is a simple game, played on a 9Ft+ board and at the end Delpero and Lemoigne always win.
Both French surfers remain undefeated in recent years at the European level.
Longboarders take apart the rights of Praia da Baia to fight for a spot into Finals day.
European longboarders meet up again in Espinho to decide the regional title in 2020.
