The International Surfing Association (ISA) just announced their decision to postpone the World Surfing Games until May 2021. The games were set to take place across the wave rich regions of El Sunzal and La Bocana in El Salvador. The decision to postpone the event was made in collaboration with the local government due to ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19.
"We are in constant dialogue with our partners and stakeholders - including the World Surf League. We are confident that this postponement will put us in the best position to celebrate a safe and spectacular edition of the event in the lead up to the Olympic Games," ISA President Fernando Aguerre announced.
