JORDY'S HAWAIIAN DREAM RUN
We're taking you to South Africa this week with WSL Rewind...and who better to kick things off than Jordy Smith? Currently back in South Africa after wintering on the North Shore, he picked one hell of a season to post up in Hawaii. He described April as "the best month for waves I have surfed in a long time." And his new edit from O'Neill, "Beyond The Tour: Hawaii" definitely validates that. This week we're going to be looking back at the 2017 J-Bay Open, so stay tuned for more from Jordy and everybody else on WorldSurfLeague.com.
THE GOLD COAST COOKING
With surf travel off the table for now, it pays to live near some of the best waves in the world...like Snapper Rocks, for example. Over the last few days a solid run of swell has lit up the Gold Coast points. Locals like Mick Fanning, Nick Vasicek and friends were all over it... And how about Josh Kerr and this fun little 5'2" shred stick he's on?
TYLER WRIGHT OPENS UP TO 60 MINUTES
Tyler Wright has opened up about her nearly two years away from surfing in a recent interview with "60 Minutes." She reveals just how serious the situation with her health was and what it took to get back in the water. Thankfully, this story has a happy ending...remember what Tyler did in her first contest back last year? Yeah, she upset the World Title race and made the Final at the Maui Pro because that's how she rolls.
NATE FLORENCE AT JAWS
And while we're on the subject of Hawaii last winter, remember when Billy Kemper scored the wave of his life at Jaws in January? Well, Nate Florence just released a GoPro POV session from the same run of swell. From bagging monster bombs to coughing up water after wipeouts, get up close and personal with Nate.
