Men's competition resumed with Barra Da Tijuca ready to deliver.
It was obvious early on that high scores were going to be found inside the barrel.
The day started yet again with an early upset. Gabriel Medina (BRA) was eliminated in Round 3 by Travis Logie (ZAF).
Logie toppled the home-crowd favorite Medina with a deep barrel ride for a 9.50.
Logie breaking finds a clean exit out of his last-minute barrel.
