Después de la segunda llamada del día, Roberto Perdigao, tour manager y director regional de WSL South America, determinó el lay day del Rip Curl Pro Playa Grande y realizó un nuevo llamado para el jueves 18 a las 7:40 AM.
Mañana empezará a correr el tercer día del período de espera de este clásico de Semana Santa, cita internacional QS 1500 (varones) QS 1000 (mujeres) y del World Qualifying Series organizado por la World Surf League, único evento internacional del año en territorio argentino que convoca a mujeres y varones de 12 países.
Un total de 16 heats están programados para la primera ronda, los primeros argentinos en entrar en acción serán Martín Passeri y Jerónimo Ané, quienes debutarán en el heat 2 ante los brasileños Leonardo Barcelos y Sergio Pires de Souza.
