Day 2 of the HIC Pro started off with flash flooding along the North Shore and the hope of a rising swell, but quickly turned into one of the better days at Sunset Beach this season, albeit in chocolately-colored surf with thick, frothy sections and a debris-filled lineup. The competition whittled down as Round 3 neared completion, with standouts like Dusty Payne, Jorgann Couzinet, Lucas Silveira and Barron Mamiya stealing the limelight.
