Strider Wasilewski and Peter Mel joined Chris Cote on set to break down all the top stories from Day One at the 2017 Hawaiian Pro. As is the tradition, the annual kick-off event of the North Shore's Triple Crown season is held at the legendary Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park, one of the best high performance, big wave venues in the world. But with a small swell and tricky conditions on offer on opening day, a collection of local and Qualifying Series competitors showcased their technical aerial skills in shoulder high left-handers.
