Sebastian Zietz hasn't had any huge results in 2017, but the fun-loving Hawaiian has done a good job of being a bit more consistent performer. You may recall he earned his first Championship Tour win at Margaret River in 2016, which pushed him all the way up to No. 2 in the world at the time. But by year's end he slid to No. 12. This season his best result has been a 9th, but he's got three of them. Meanwhile, he's reduced his number of early exits too. Though he's sitting No. 15 at this point of the season, a solid result could easily push him into the Top 10. On Monday at Lower Trestles he got off to a good start during his Round One heat. Zietz lit up the high-tide rights that were hugging the point. He looked loose and lively as he got the better of rookie Connor O'Leary and Kanoa Igarashi. His heat total of 16.83 was the second-best of the round. That's just the kind of momentum builder he came looking for to start his Hurley Pro at Trestles campaign.
