The rookie, who reached a Final at the Outerknown Fiji Pro in just his fifth CT event ever, continues to display a maturity beyond his years, socking away heats with sharp surfing and tenacious tactics. After jumping out to an early lead in Heat 13, O'Leary waited for his opportunities midway through, lost the lead to Basque surfer Gony Zubizarreta, then locked it way in the final 10 minutes with the highest scoring wave of the heat.
