Kelly Slater maintained his winning form this morning in tricky conditions at Haleiwa. The 11x World Champ sliced his way through the chop to earn a solid 8.67 en route to a Round Four win. Australian Mitch Crews was nipping at Slater's heels for the entire heat, and he advanced as well. Unfortunately, however, in the Quarterfinals that followed, French QS grinder Marc Lacomare defeated Slater with his lethal backhand attack and ended the legend's run at the Hawaiian Pro.
