Kolohe Andino dominated during his Quarterfinal heat against defending World Champ Adriano de Souza. The Californian found clean water and open barrels in hefty Supertubos surf. Andino left De Souza scrapping for two scores after he threaded this cavern in the final minutes, earning a 9.67. Following a third place finish in the Quiksilver Pro France, Andino's win over the Brazilian today in Portugal secured his second Semifinal appearance in a row. While Andino is no longer in World Title contention, he's not done trying to climb the Jeep Leaderboard.
Now Kolohe Andino and Jordy Smith are the only surfers standing between John John Florence and the World Title.
