He carved his way to a huge 8.93 against Hawaiian heavyweight Sebastian Zietz and Frenchman Jeremy Flores. That score, combined with a 7.50 before it, solidified his spot in the Quarters. Pupo currently sits at No. 23, a precarious spot in the rankings (only the Top 22 requalify for the 2017 Championship Tour). His fast-track to the Quarterfinals already gives him a good boost in points, and takes some weight off his shoulders heading into Hawaii.
