A lay day was called for the first day of the Target Maui Pro waiting period.
"With the minimal swell in the water we've decided to go on a lay day and hope to see some improvement in coming days," said women's Championship Tour Commissioner Jessi Miley-Dyer. "The forecast is showing us some promising surf toward the second half of the waiting period but we're excited to see what is in store for these girls. This place couldn't be a better setting for a World Title to be decided - it'll be a great finish to a phenomenal year."
The first women set to compete will be Tyler Wright (AUS), Tatiana Weston-Webb (HAW), and Dimity Stoyle (AUS) in the opening heat of Round 1.
