Like fellow Australian Kennedy, Soli Bailey (currently No. 17 on the QS) will require a strong result in the Hawaiian Triple Crown to break into the Top 10 of the QS. Davey Cathels (AUS) launched himself into the qualification conversation with a second-place finish at the QS 10,000 in Sao Paulo. Having done well at four events on the QS so far this year, if Californian Conner Coffin finishes well in Hawaii, he has a strong chance to break into the Top 10 (QS surfers' rankings are based on their top 5 results over the season).
