Fresh off a victory at the Oi HD Sao Paulo Open in Brazil, Miguel Pupo (BRA) snuck some time in at home before heading to Hawaii. Like fellow Australian Kennedy, Soli Bailey (currently No. 17 on the QS) will require a strong result in the Hawaiian Triple Crown to break into the Top 10 of the QS. Having done well at four events on the QS so far this year, if Californian Conner Coffin finishes well in Hawaii, he has a strong chance to break into the Top 10 (QS surfers' rankings are based on their top 5 results over the season).
