Owen Wright (AUS) made history at the 2015 Fiji Pro, scoring two perfect heats and winning the event. The event in Fiji was the first left barreling reefbreak on the CT schedule, and Tahiti is the second. Wright has already made two trips to Tahiti between events this year. Like Buchan Wiggolly Dantas (BRA) picked up a new quiver for the upcoming event at Teahupo'o. At the start of the season Dantas claimed he enjoyed the big barrels most on the CT schedule. He backed that up by earning a Quarterfinal finish in Fiji. Jeremy Flores (FRA) suffered a serious freesurf injury and was forced to miss the event in South Africa. He missed the event in Tahiti last year due to a league suspension, but the four times he competed prior to 2014 Flores made it to Round 4 or better.
