One year ago, Lower Trestles saw the first-ever elite women's surfing event there and featured numerous high-scoring performances. Warm up for the 2015 contest with the best of the best. Coco Ho (HAW) earned the first ride in the nine-point range at the Swatch Women's Pro when she lit up the cobblestone break for a 9.43 in Round 1.
Bianca Buitendag (ZAF) surfed to impress: She scored a 9.03 in the opening round.
Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) scored a 9.00 on her opening ride in Round 3.
In Round 4, Bianca Buitendag (ZAF) earned her second score in the nine-point-range during of the event, earning a 9.10 for a seamless string of hacks.
Tyler Wright (AUS) used her power-game to score a 9.00 in the Quarterfinals.
Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) scored a 9.17 in her Semifinal heat. The score helped solidify her heat win and send her to a Final faceoff against Gilmore.
Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) kicked off her performance in the Final with a 9.50.
Gilmore scored a perfect 10 in the Trestles Final, the first of the 2014 women's elite Tour season.
Gilmore's last nine-point ride in the Final wouldn't factor into her scoreline, but it was impressive nonetheless. She went on to win the event.
