About Adin Masencamp

Adin Masencamp is a fierce competitor with his sights firmly set on reaching the pinnacle of competitive surfing. After having won the WSL Africa Junior Men’s title in 2017, he quickly backed that up by winning the WSL Africa QS Men’s title in 2018 stamping his dominance on his home continent. 2019 saw a huge push from Adin to try and reach the main stage of surfing with a string of good results including taking the victory at the VW SA Open of Surfing, a 5th place at the Billabong Pro Ericeira Portugal QS10 000 as well as earning a spot into the Pipeline Invitational in Hawaii later that season. In 2021, the stars aligned and Adin rose to the top to win the Ballito Pro QS 5,000 against long-time CT competitor and fellow South African, Jordy Smith, a career-defining moment that proved he belongs right up there with the best in the world.
