WSL PURE Ambassador Greg Long called in from Keramas to join environmental advocates and professional athletes Elena Hight from Protect Our Winters and Mark Towill from 11th Hour Racing for a conversation on Protecting our Playground. Each athlete shared their experiences and revealed how humans are impacting, waves, mountains, and even Point Nemo, the farthest point from land.
Long grew up in Southern California and started traveling to pristine surfing meccas at the age of eighteen. After traveling around the world he realized that many of the distant shores he visited weren't as pristine as he thought they would be.
Through his surf related travel, Long saw firsthand the extent of the plastic pollution problem. - WSL / Kenneth Morris
